Well! I’m sorry for all those who followed, and yet can’t spy any sort of posts and updates on their dashboard! Apologies for not being a very active blogger.

I’m back, though, and I’m going to start reccing again! My life has turned into this weird pit of crap, and I’m just going to say ‘fuck it’ to the world and start reading some fanfiction like no tomorrow. I hope you guys like what I do, and if anyone has any advice on improving my recs to a way you’d find more helpful or more insightful, please feel free to attack me anytime. :)

I’ll be around.

Porcelain - Rosivan/calembours

[Link in title.]
Summary: The philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “In art the hand can never execute anything higher than the heart can inspire.” With a new student in his ceramics class, perhaps Harry can prove this true.

I have returned! This is quite a gentle, soothing fic, and for once- without all those raging hormones and raw passion and whatnot. I quite liked the fact that the author kept Draco and Harry quite sensible, and Tom Riddle as the career advisor! Genius.

It’s a very peaceful fic, despite Draco having his doubts and worries, and it’s quite like floating in a sea of flower petals, watching everything unfurl (quite sweetly) around. This could be rated as a K+, but if anyone’s feeling very stressed and looking for some quiet affection, this is the fic for you.

Obviously my mom would burst in when I’m watching the only sex scene in the movie.

And moments on TV when people kiss and your mom just goes “I don’t think you should be watching this” and you’re just like “I read hardcore gay porn on a daily basis” to yourself.

Hm, if you ever feel like playing an otome game again, try 'The Second Reproduction', it's less innocent and has an actual plot. Just saying, in case you do.

Actual plot! Man, that’s wonderful news. Thanks for the suggestion- I’ll be sure to check it out! :D

Starry Sky in Spring…

I just finished playing Starry Sky in Spring, which looked damn good, but seriously… I think I’ve never been this bored in my life.

Fans, hear me out before you beat me into a little pulp.

I think it’s because as a member of the Harry Potter, Supernatural, QAF and LOTR fandom, I have been exposed to more feels and HOMGMYHEART moments than strictly healthy. Playing as a little girl, flirting around with boys who look even more like little girls, really does nothing for me.

I guess I’m too used to the ‘fuck this shit who the fuck do you think you are- I love you, you stupid wanker’ instead of the ‘oh no, Kanata-kun, are you alright? You seemed to have scraped your arm! Please don’t make me worry about you like this, you’re a very precious childhood friend!’

No more otome games for me. I think I’m gonna die from the lack of excitement.

If you have ever been called ugly, emo, weird, fat, gay, skinny, stupid, worthless, a mistake, idiot, or anything else derogatory, Or if you have ever self harmed or had serious thoughts of suicide, Reblog this. I have something I want to tell you.

Denude - faithwood

[Link in title.]
Summary: It’s set a few days after the Sectumsempra scene and takes the story in another direction, asking the question: “What if the Sectumsempra scene had a greater impact on Harry and Draco?”

A one-shot, beautifully done. It’s not fluff, but it’s angsty understanding. The tension between the boys is eerily believable, and we all know the symbolism the sectumsempra represents. Get ready for a quick but threshold scene of the moment when they both learn to let go.

There are a few one-liners that I absolutely love, so I hope you guys will like this, and remember to leave a comment on faithwood’s page after you’re done!

The Conservation of Fame - Lomonaaeren

[Link in title.]
Summary: Harry has peace at last under a spell that keeps people from remembering he’s the Chosen One, until Malfoy stumbles through his wards, pursued by mysterious enemies. Harry has to help him, and possibly bring all his peace crashing down.

I am back, people!

So, this is a WIP, which I really despise reccing, but for the first time in a long time, there’s a fic that already has me emotionally hooked by the second chapter. It’s Lomonaaeren, so there’s really not much to be said, but from the looks of it, this is going to be one bumpy memory lane the two boys are going to be thrown down. Stay on the bus, ladies and gentlemen, and keep your hands and feet close to you in case they get ripped off by the angsty undertones of this fic.

  • lypophrenia: a feeling of sadness seemingly without a cause
  • drapetomania: an overwhelming urge to run away
  • escapism: a mental desire to retreat from unpleasant realities through fantasy
  • wanderlust: a desire to travel, to understand one’s very existence
  • dysania: the state of finding it difficult to get out of bed in the morning
  • sanctuary: a small safe place in a troubling world
  • metathesiophobia: fear of change

Hey there! I’m sorry for the supreme lack of updating (really not acceptable actions for a blogger), but I’ve been very busy lately. I promise that the reccing will be back full force next week, since I hope by then there’ll be not much work for me to stress over since it’s all been squeezed out of my marrow juices these days.

Harry and Draco’s waiting patiently in the Room of Requirement for more recs. A few more days, lads, a few more days…
